- Bachelor of Arts (History and French) and Bachelor of Education with Distinction, University of New South Wales, Australia.
Relevant Experience
Ms. Townend completed her tertiary studies at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education with distinction, majoring in French and History. She taught for twelve years in the NSW Public Education system before joining Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong in 2019. Ms. Townend has held a range of leadership positions including Head Teacher of Teaching and Learning and Deputy Principal. With a passion for evidence-based classroom practice that places the student at the centre, she is thrilled to be working as Director of Teaching and Learning. Beyond the classroom she enjoys reading for pleasure, cooking and travel.
