Dulwich Pudong’s Winter Fair Lights Up the Season
Our annual Winter Fair brought more than 4,500 people to our Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong campus for a day filled with warmth, connection and shared joy.
As families arrived on campus, the atmosphere quickly filled with cheerful voices, warm conversations and the joy of wandering through a bustling indoor and outdoor market. Children darted between games and craft activities while parents visited stalls, creating a lively scene that truly captured the spirit of togetherness.
One of the highlights each year is seeing our students transform their ideas into meaningful action. Dozens of student-led shops and service projects showcased their creativity and compassion — supporting causes from animal welfare to sustainability initiatives.
Alongside handmade gifts and sweet treats, guests enjoyed an impressive selection of food vendors serving everything from cakes and seasonal treats to savoury grilled favourites.
Music and movement created excitement throughout the afternoon. Our drummers kicked things off with an eye-catching opener, and the DUCKS Choir delighted audiences with their enthusiasm. Rock bands kept the atmosphere vibrant in the Quad, and staff added their own memorable moment with a special performance. Throughout the Fair, guests encountered a variety of showcases — including jazz, a dynamic Kung Fu demonstration and a saxophone group.
In the soft light of the evening, everyone gathered for the most anticipated moment of the whole event—the lighting of our beautifully decorated tree, crowned with a brilliant star. When the lights switched on, the campus transformed, signalling the start of our winter celebrations and hinting at the warmth and cheer of the season to come.
