Oh, the Places We Went and We'll Go!

You have brains in your head.

You have feet in your shoes.

You can steer yourself any direction you choose.

You're on your own.

And you know what you know.

And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go.

In term 1, students from Dulwich Pudong embarked from Shanghai and left their footprints all over the world.

In Nepal, they immersed themselves in the local culture, collaborating closely with primary school students. On the sports fields of Phuket and Hong Kong, they exerted themselves and pushed for victory. In Beijing and Suzhou, they forged friendships with fellow Dulwich students from our sister schools. In Suzhou, they took to the stage to showcase their musical talents and refine their performance skills. In Beijing, they competed together, experiencing the spirit of sportsmanship. They also had the opportunity to learn from the esteemed Royal Shakespeare Company, enriching their theatrical knowledge and honing their acting abilities. Furthermore, in Switzerland, they embraced outdoor learning, fostering a deep connection with nature.

Learning should not be confined to the classroom alone. Out of class learning provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world contexts, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

By engaging in activities outside of the classroom, students can recognize the relevance and practicality of what they learn in their everyday lives. Additionally, these experiences enable students to connect with their local communities and society at large, fostering a sense of civic responsibility, empathy, and cultural awareness. They gain a deeper understanding of diverse cultures, social issues, and community needs, inspiring them to become proactive and conscientious citizens.

As we embark into the new year, we are excited to explore even more diverse locations and engage in further enriching experiences.

In Japan, we eagerly anticipate our inaugural ski trip, where we will hit the slopes and embrace the thrill of winter sports. In New York, our MUN (Model United Nations) delegates will immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the United Nations, gaining firsthand experience of international diplomacy. In Singapore, the highly anticipated Dulwich Olympiad awaits, providing an opportunity for our skilled Dulwich Panthers to showcase their athletic prowess after years of anticipation.

Moreover, our Dulwich Pudong students will leave their mark in places such as Xi'an, Bangkok, Vienna, Uganda, Switzerland, and more, actively participating in a wide range of activities and events.

You're off to Great Places!

Today is your day!

Your mountain is waiting,

so... get on your way!
