As the Spring Festival arrives, Dulwich Pudong once again embarked on a week of festive activities to usher in the new lunar year. Despite our students hailing from all corners of the world, everyone embraced the charms of traditional Chinese culture and actively participated in the celebrations.

To welcome the Spring Festival, each of our three schools were filled with a strong festive atmosphere. Students from DUCKS, Junior School, and Senior School eagerly engaged in a variety of handicraft activities during break times and in the classroom. Helped by parents, the little ones made delicious dumplings, decorated oranges and hung them on branches, and crafted lively and cute little snakes, symbolizing a new year brimming with vitality and energy. These activities not only honed the children's hands-on skills but also allowed them to appreciate traditional Chinese culture through practice.

The activities in the Senior School were even more spectacular. Led by the Mandarin Ambassadors, students enjoyed a diverse cultural feast every lunch break. From intricate paper-cutting art to profound fortune-telling script writing, to the mysterious creation of Chinese lacquer, each activity captivated the students, leaving them reluctant to get back to lessons!

Our students and parents were also involved in a number of activities designed to show appreciation to our hardworking and dedicated support staff and teachers.

A series of events on Friday undoubtedly marked the climax of the entire celebration. Two assemblies in DUCKS and the combined Junior and Senior Schools showcased the diverse talents of teachers and students across the College. On stage, the children wore magnificent ethnic costumes, serving up a feast of Chinese culture and art for the eager audience as they sang, danced and performed.

This year's Spring Festival celebrations not only deepened our students' understanding and love for traditional Chinese culture but also spread the warmth and joy of home during this special and auspicious Year of the Snake.

As they prepare to spend time with family, we wish everyone in the Dulwich Pudong community a happy Spring Festival and prosperity in the Year of the Snake, with all your wishes fulfilled!
