Vienna Choir Trip 2018

During June and July a group of Dulwich students will jet off to Europe for the annual Vienna Tour. This year’s tour is expected to be a huge success again. Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong is the only school that offers such a unique opportunity. Our students will participate in workshops at the Vienna Boys Choir under the direction of Gerald Wirth, Musical Director. The tour will be highlighted by performances with the Vienna Boys Choir at Palais Augarten and St Stephan’s Cathedral. Students who participate in any choir during the year will have the opportunity to take part from 24th June - 8th July 2018.

This year the tour will be a special one as we have been invited to provide the children’s choir for a performance of the Britten War Requiem in St Stephen’s Cathedral. This is a really high profile opportunity as we will be billed on the programme and poster. The War Requiem is so seldom performed due to the sheer scale of the work and I have no doubt that this is going to be a truly memorable experience.
