Dulwich Pudong ABRSM results

Every year, many of our students take ABRSM exams on musical instruments. This year a number of our students have achieved notable success. ABRSM exams are graded 1 to 8 with the highest “diploma” exams being awarded only to the most advanced students. This year I am delighted to announce that two students have passed diploma exams.

Monica in year 9 has passed the DipABSRM exam on piano. Monica has been playing the piano since she was 6 years old, and has won numerous awards and prizes for her playing.

William in year 12 has passed the LRAM diploma on Cello, an amazing achievement and the 2nd highest qualification ABRSM offers. William started learning Cello on our year 3 string programme, is multiple prize-winning performers and has been active recently with the “Music for Life” initiative.

In addition to these two achievements we had 115 students take ABRSM practical exams in November with some excellent results: Unfortunately far too many to list here, but some standout achievements are below.

  • Athan in Year 3 scored 135 in grade 1 piano
  • Anthea in Year 6 scored 137 in grade 5 violin
  • Ziyu in Year 3 scored 141 in grade 1 piano
  • Sam in Year 6 scored 137 in grade 6 violin
  • Joyce in Year 7 scored 135 in grade 8 violin

Well done to all for the continued hard work and dedication shown by our young musicians in their exams. We have a further 160 candidates taking exams in March and we wish them all the best in their preparations.
