The Year 2005
Dulwich College Shanghai Pudong has always been closely connected with leaders across the globe. Over the years we have had numerous leaders in their respective fields visit our campus.
In 2005 Dame Ellen MacArthur, DBE, world record holding longdistance yachtwoman visited Dulwich Pudong. Earlier that year Ellen MacArthur broke the world record for the fastest solo circumnavigation of the globe. Our students were thrilled to meet her and be inspired by her dedication and daring.
MacArthur is now retired from professional sailing and now runs a charity that works with business and education to accelerate the transition to a circular economy.

Also in 2005 we continued to expand our physical footprint, breaking ground on the main campus building.
