- Founder's Day 2017 - a day of fun!
Dulwich College Shanghai celebrated Founder’s Day on Saturday, 3rd June. It was a fun-filled afternoon honouring our founder - Edward Alleyn.
The day started with a College Swimming Gala and stunning synchro team performance.
In the Sports Centre Gymnasium, 34 fencers fenced on piste with courage and pride to demonstrate what they have learned in the fencing CCA. Quite a few close matches with two fencing all the way to "sudden death"! Most importantly students enjoyed it! Off the piste, many younger fencers 'fenced' with their balloon swords.
Also inside, children enjoyed the baby ball pool, Face Painting, Chinese Calligraphy, sugar shapes, baloon modelling, Green Panthers Workshop, Mathematics Challenges and nine different College Service Projects!
Meanwhile, outside children had fun riding on the carousel, jumping on the sweeper, bouncing on the circus castle, twister and camouflage inflatable.
Attendees were all extremely impressed with the Performing Arts that were showcased by our talented students. Senior and Junior School Opening Dances, DUCKS Maypole Dancing, Junior and Senior School renditions, Mulan Choir, Allegro Strings, Rock Bands, Big Band and the very popular DJ Beauxmont.
The day culminated with a stunning Finale Concert and a dazzling light show!
