Dulwich Pudong is teaming up with our friends at the Shanghai World Financial Centre for a two-day "Family Garden" on Saturday June 5 & Sunday June 6 and you are invited!

In addition to magicians, music, DIY arts and craft workshops, food and games, there will be two parent workshops featuring College thought leaders.

Ms Victoria Foster, Head of Junior School

Victoria Foster, Head of the Junior School, will speak on "The Growth Mindset: A New Way to Engage Young Learners".

Mr Peter Rogers,  Director of Community Wellbeing and Leadership Formation in the Senior School

Pete Rogers, Director of Community Wellbeing and Leadership Formation in the Senior School will speak on “Wellbeing: The Secret Playbook behind Developing the next generation of leaders”.

The weekend will also feature a pop-up exhibit of art works from our IB art students, music from our talented students, and robotics from our SE21 team. In addition there will be magicians, music, DIY craft workshops, food and games – fun and stimulating activities for the entire family.

The event will be held on the 2nd floor atrium of the SWFC except for the parent workshops which will be held on B2F in the food court area. 

At 101 stories tall, the SWFC has been a landmark in Shanghai since it first opened in 2007. We are proud to be working with the SWFC to put on this fun, inspirational, and thought-provoking event for families.

Pete Rogers, Director of Community Wellbeing and Leadership Formation in the Senior School

Talk title: “Wellbeing: The Secret Playbook Behind Developing the Next Generation of Leaders” 

The emphasis on grades has given way to a more holistic understanding that optimal academic performance cannot happen without optimal wellbeing. Meanwhile, we find that leaders are increasingly made from those who have the ability to effectively inspire and support others. In this talk we will touch on how a renewed focus on wellbeing is equipping students to be the next generation of leaders.

Traditional, or “fixed” mindsets have dominated teaching for decades. These days, however, the multitude of challenges which will face our children in the future demand a new approach, a growth mindset. A growth mindset helps students to go beyond what they thought they were capable of.
