- Panthers Illustrated Brings All the Sports Action to You
Sport has always been a huge part of life at Dulwich Pudong and this year, for the first time, we have a group of student reporters dedicated to bringing you all the action on the court, on the pitch, in the pool and in the gym! Meet the Panthers Illustrated Sports Reporters.
The club was started by Year 12 student Jade M, herself is a highly accomplished athlete who plays a number of sports here. She wanted to combine her love of sports and the action of bringing the community together. "Sports have the natural ability to start a conversation between people, even the ones we don’t usually talk to," she shares.
This term the Panther Sports Reporters have been publishing a monthly newsletter as well as starting their own Instagram account where they recap results from Panthers fixtures across a variety of sports.
"The content, process, and template are all things I have carefully tweaked to make the newsletter more engaging, fun, and informative," Jade shares. "By making this sports reporters team a club, I felt I could reach out to more people who have the same passion that I do, giving them a platform in which they can express their love for sports as well."
"Panther Illustrated fosters collaboration among passionate individuals, uniting them to celebrate sports and deepen their knowledge together," says Youhang Y, one of the members of the team.
"Joining the sports newsletter club is a great way to connect with fellow sports enthusiasts and get insights into the latest sports news," echoes Ryan Z.
Even though they've just started, the feedback from students and teachers has exceeded expectation. "Although we’ve only uploaded 2 editions of the newsletter this year (October and November), the amount of people who showed interest is incredible. So many people reacted to the posts by liking, hearting, and many more emojis. I hope to continue this club as a legacy after I graduate."
