Arrival in Shanghai

There are 2 international airports in Shanghai, Pudong and Hongqiao.

Shanghai Pudong – this is the main international airport and is where the majority of international flights arrive. It is approximately 32km from school.

Shanghai Hongqiao is a smaller airport with mainly domestic flights and some short international flights. (eg, Seoul, Hong Kong). It is approximately 40km from school.

Both airports are served by the Shanghai Metro network and have taxi services.

Taxi from Airport

Both airports have an airport taxi service which is quite convenient and can be easily accessed; therefore, we recommend that a Chinese address is printed for the ease of communication with taxi drivers.

Taxi fee from Pudong or Hongqiao International Airport to the hotels or school is usually no more than RMB150. (Except peak hour) Please do remember to take a printed receipt, ‘fa piao’, which gives the information on taxi number, company name, travel distance, time, and fee incurred. This may be helpful if there is a need to contact the taxi driver.

The nearest station to school/hotels is LanTian Road station on Line 9. It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk from the station to the College. To walk from the station to the Ramada or Marriott Hotel will take approximately 25 minutes.
