We are pleased to share that our Year 11 students have achieved fantastic I/GCSE results this year.

  • 85% of grades were A* to A
  • 94% of grades were A* to B

Not only do these results place us well above the global average, they also set a new benchmark for DCSPD, representing our highest percentages since our first I/GCSE exam cohort in 2007.

2021 IGCSE RESULTS

Our College, as usual, had one of the largest cohorts of I/GCSE test takers in Shanghai with 63 taking the exams. Over 50% of our test takers have spent four or more years at DCSPD, testament to the strength and continuity of our curriculum as well as the strong relationships our students have built with faculty over time.

Ms Alison Derbyshire
The resilience and determination they have shown individually and as a group is to be commended.
- Ms Alison Derbyshire, Head of Senior School

Head of Senior School Alison Derbyshire says, "I am very pleased to see how this group of students has overcome adversity to lay a solid foundation for continued success in the IB. The resilience and determination they have shown individually and as a group is to be commended. I should also like to thank our teachers who have shown once again that developing positive relationships and personalising the learning experience yields outstanding results."

Mr Will Hutchings
The I/GCSE exams represent the culmination of a great deal of preparatory work by the students to take responsibility for their own learning.
- Mr Will Hutchings, Deputy Head of Senior School

Deputy Head of Senior School Will Hutchings says, "The I/GCSE exams represent the culmination of a great deal of preparatory work by the students to take responsibility for their own learning, develop excellent study habits, and acquire deep subject-specific knowledge. I am incredibly proud of each and every one of our students and what they have achieved. I hope every student has had a wonderful summer break and is ready for their next step, whatever that may be. Congratulations!"

Let's join together and wish our Year 11s well as they now embark on the IBDP programme as Year 12s.
