- 21st Century Skills in Early Years
Our newly renovated SE21 room in DUCKS has launched much to the delight of the children visiting it! Our STEAM CCA has moved in and Year 1 have been to find out about their new learning environment. SE21 is the postcode in London of our founding school Dulwich College but also "S" stands for STEAM, the "E" for entrepreneurship and "21" for 21st century skills. STEAM is an acronym for the subjects Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics. The aim of SE21 is to promote a curious mindset and offer children opportunities to explore creative and imaginative problem-solving projects which bring elements of these subjects together.
We have been exploring, designing, programming, thinking and much, much more. As we encourage our children to wonder and question, this space will provide opportunities to immerse themselves in learning opportunities across the STEAM subjects.
