Winter Choral Concert

The annual Winter Choral Concert took place as part of the Winter Festival this year, performed to a packed house in the Sports Centre gym. Over 250 students took part, and collaboration was a strong theme of the event, with a number of joint items featuring different choirs from Junior and Senior Schools.

The musical programme was diverse, featuring songs from France, America, Russia, the UK, Germany and Nigeria. Student-led group Singchronisedwowed the audience with close harmonies and polished presentation, and many items were expertly accompanied by student and staff instrumentalists.

The Junior School Lao Zi choirs, prepared by Mrs. Ade, had great energy as well as refinement, while Senior School choirs led by Ms. Collings and Mr. Parker moved seamlessly between different styles. The finale, Night of Silence, was particularly atmospheric, with the massed voices of the schools joining together singing Silent Night. Choral music is truly alive and well at the College, and the Choral Concert made a great contribution to the festive celebrations.
