Ella Yankelevich
Co-Director of EdTech
Background
Dr. Ella Yankelevich is one of the two new Educational Technology Coaches at DCSPD where she specializes in DUCKS. She supports our youngest learners with educational technology integration and SE21. She also supports Whole College initiatives and programmes such as eSafety, technology PL, and staff coaching.
She is originally from Ukraine, but spent most her life in the United States before transitioning to international schooling. She spent two years in Costa Rica before moving to China in August 2021. She speaks Russian, is developing her Spanish, and would love to learn some Mandarin Chinese.
Before diving into the world of Educational Technology, Dr. Yankelevich was a classroom teacher in the US in Grades 4, 5, and kindergarten. After transitioning into EdTech & Computer Science, she completed a doctoral program in Curriculum & Instruction to ensure she supported the most up-to-date research-based practices for her colleagues and their students. She enjoys presenting at local, national, and international conferences on EdTech, Diversity, and Mindfulness.
